Tyler Childers is easily one of my favorite artists I have ever listened to. From his voice, to his writing style, to the messages he has behind his music I just can't help but feel every word he writes and the appreciate his craft. "Follow You To Virgie" is one of those songs that really just gives you the gut feeling when you listen to it. He wrote the song for his childhood friend Cody when he learned of the passing of Cody's grandmother. The story his tells through his lyrics brings tears to my eyes every time. One thing I really enjoy about Tyler Childers is his live acoustics he has on youtube where he gives a little intro and explains the song. It is moving to listen to these lyrics as he honors his friends grandmother in such a beautiful light. I feel like everyone has that person they grew up knowing that they admired who always thought the world of them.
There is something so raw about Tyler Childers and refreshing!
